Christmas Cheer!

The glass-topped table, glue gun, and ornaments, that inspired my "Simple Miracle" story.
A picture of Santa's workshop in Argentina. Preparing for the 2 fiesta's for the missionaries. The mission has been divided in half, 85 missionaries each day. We will have games, white elephant exchange, lunch, Christmas pageant, music.
The first part of putting 180 stockings together. I used the plastic bags to put the chapstick, notecards, highlighter pen, certs, alfahor (cookie), and candy cane inside. The ties will go on top when we put the stockings together, with an orange and apple in the bottom. The sister missionaries get lotions and polish. Hopefully the missionaries will feel our love and care through out little gift from Santa.

Sister Lindhal,
I am the mother of one of your missionaries, Elder Benjamin Steig who is currently serving in Malargue. It seems we have mutual friends, Craig & Debbie Bingham who are in our ward here in Salem, Oregon. Debbie says she used to babysit for you in California when she was younger. Anyways, she sent me the link to your blog. It is heartwarming to see the preparations going into the Christmas party that my son will be a part of next week. It makes a mother 7,000 miles away feel that much more connected. Thank you for all you do! We do not know you personally, but our prayers are with your family and all the Mendoza missionaries daily. Sister, Donna Steig

I hope some of your talent will rub off on me someday.:) And I'm very impressed with your blogging skills. I'm glad you are finding some time to do it. I think it is healing. Love you! Melinda
